EAT BIG, SLEEP BIG, LIFT BIG, GET BIG. Simple as that. I hardly take days off because when I am away from the gym I lose results, so I'm in there at least 6 times a week. Upper body, lower body, upper body, lower body, upper, lower take a day and repeat. Mix it up I do high reps with decently heavy weight not bitch weight where I can get more than 25 reps. On my heavy days I do 4-6 reps and I've seen the best gains by far doing a 2 day split.
Your not supposed to kill your muscles the protein sythesis is only heighted for 2 -3 days so if you blast a muscle where its sore past then its not really growing full body workouts are best. Dudes. Generaly speakin, Once a week is BULLSHIT. You only need 48-70+ hours to do most recovery for a big muscle. By the time you hit the same muscle NEXT week the muscle had already fallen into sleep mode..Trust me your workouts will get better by training twice a week. Do once a week thing only in some cycles to focus recovery or in the hot coutries in the summer but generaly speaking twice a week is the way to go. This is how the old schoolers used to train and im a big beleiver in their style.

Obviously you aren't doing enough sets if your muscles are recovered after 3 days. You need to work them till they can't move, with smaller and smaller weights. I don't see how you can work every muscle properly twice a week and still have time for work/family/sleep. Or are you doing several muscle groups in one session? It's impossible to have enough energy to do that properly.

If you want to destroy your joints and tear muscles, sure. Then again, I'm imagining doing my workout twice a week, and that would kill most people. If you train a muscle group right, then you can't work it for 4-5 days. It's possible to do a group on sunday and then on the next saturday, but an closer interval is just plain counter-productive and unsafe.

Probably not training it as hard. I used to train 2 times a week each, but then switched to 1-2 hour workouts of one group per day, even biceps and triceps get their own days. When you isolate a muscle for 1-2 hours over 6-10 exercises, the recovery time is much longer. Core everyday isn't as devastating for me. I usually do core almost daily, 3-5 day a weeks. Though I'd suggest alternating days, like obliques one day and then abdominal the next. The core can never be too strong.

I wouldn't do that unless you're going to over train every other muscle group. The best look is symmetry, you want to look symmetrical. You will look silly if you have big arms with small lats, small pecs etc. Just the other day I saw a guy with no upper body mass except his arms which looked like they were from cynthol because his body was lanky and didn't match. So, I'd say just go real hard once a week. Biceps and triceps each on their own individual days 1-2 hours should get you real swoll.

TO EVERYBODY. If you're natural, you should hit every body part at least twice, more preferably 3 times a week. If you train so hard you will need a week to recover, guess what happens. Your muscles still only grow for 48 hours after a workout. The other 5 days, they're recovering but not growing. And that's wasted time right there.
